Harbhajan Singh picks his favourite batter and bowler
Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh has revealed his favourite batter and bowler in modern-day cricket. The spin legend went with both Indians in the form of opener Rohit Sharma and speedster Jasprit Bumrah.

Notably, Rohit is one of the most devastating and consistent openers in international cricket. Be it white-ball or Tests, the Mumbaikar dominates the game and possesses the ability to destroy any bowling attack in the world. Harbhajan termed Rohit as his ‘favourite’ batter and reckoned the 34-year-old make batting look so easy.

“Favourite batsman: Rohit Sharma. Whether T20, one-day cricket, Test cricket, when Rohit is batting, he is unbelievable. He has got so much of time, he makes batting look very, very easy,” Harbhajan told Sports Today.

In fact, Harbhajan said that Rohit is the best international batter before mentioning that the likes of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are also good, but Rohit is at a different level.

“I think Rohit is probably the best batsman in world cricket, with all due respect to others like Virat Kohli and KL Rahul. They are equally good as well, but when Rohit plays, he is on a different level altogether. So Rohit is my favourite batsman,” added Bhajji.

Similarly, Harbhajan felt that Bumrah is a class apart bowler who has done wonders irrespective of the formats. Not to mention, Bumrah’s offbeat action, utmost accuracy, and sensational art to deliver inch-perfect yorkers make him an extraordinary bowler.

“Coming to bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah, I think is a class apart. Whether we talk about T20s, one-dayers or Test cricket, Jasprit Bumrah is a top-class bowler. These are my two favourite players,” Harbhajan added further.

Rohit will soon be seen in action in the upcoming limited-overs series against the West Indies, where he will be leading the side. On the other hand, Bumrah has been rested from the white-ball matches.
