Dasun Shanaka will continue to lead the team, while Chamika Karunaratne and Avishka Fernando are among the recalled players.
Meanwhile, Nuwanidu Fernando has received his maiden ODI call-up after a string of fine performances in the domestic tournaments and the 2022 Lanka Premier League (LPL). The right-handed batter averages over 40 in 31 First Class matches, scoring 1771 runs with the help of six hundreds and seven half-centuries.
Fast bowler Chamika Karunaratne, who was controversially dropped from his national team for the ODI series against Afghanistan, performed brilliantly in the recently-concluded LPL while playing for Kandy Falcons and has made his return in both ODI and T20I squads.
On the upcoming tour of India, Sri Lanka will first play a three-match T20I leg, followed by as many ODIs. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced their limited-overs squads on Tuesday, December 27.
