India’s veteran all-rounder Suresh Raina has opened an Indian restaurant in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vice-captain shared the pictures of the launch of his new restaurant across social media platforms and expressed excitement regarding the venture.

It is worth mentioning that Raina himself is a very big foodie and is often seen cooking in the kitchen for his family and friends. The southpaw named his restaurant ‘Raina Indian Restaurant‘ with an aim to bring authentic Indian flavours to Europe. He even talked about the uniqueness of the restaurant as he introduced it to his fans on Instagram.

“Prepare your taste buds for a remarkable journey where each dish tells a story and every bite is a celebration of Indian heritage. From the rich spices of North India to the aromatic curries of South India, Raina Indian Restaurant is a tribute to the diverse and vibrant culinary tapestry of my beloved country??,’ wrote Raina.

“What sets Raina apart is not just the food, but the unwavering commitment to quality, creativity, and utmost delight in every dish we serve. We take immense pride in showcasing the depth and variety of Indian cuisine, prepared with love, precision, and a dash of my personal touch,” he added.

India’s modern-day legend Virat Kohli congratulated Raina on the launch and wrote a heart-warming message sharing the latter’s post on his story. Kohli promised Raina to visit the place next time he was in Amsterdam.

“Well done bro, @sureshraina3, Congratulations and next time we are in Amsterdam, we will definitely come over,” wrote Kohli on his Instagram story.

Speaking of Raina’s cricketing career, the star India all-rounder retired from international cricket in 2020 with 5615 ODI runs, 1605 T20I runs and 768 Test runs. Meanwhile, Raina called his time from all forms of cricket in 2022 as one the most successful Indian Premier League batters (IPL) batter. He most recently was seen commentating for Jio Cinema in the IPL 2023 and paid a visit to Kohli-owned One8 commune chain’s restaurant in between the work as well.
