A little while ago, professional BS purveyor Alex Jones had antisemitic exclaimer Ye (Kanye West) and avowed antisemite Nick Fuentes on his show for what can only be called a depressing display of antisemitic ranting. During the very long Infowars episode, Ye kept his face covered in a fully hooded mask. The show was so far afield—even for Jones—that, somehow, Jones came across as the most reasonable person in the room. This is an impressive feat for a man who called dead children’s parents “crisis actors” for years before being sued into the lunar orbit by Sandy Hook victims’ families.
Ye has been hanging around with Nick Fuentes and having dinners with former presidents and other white supremacists. So showing up on Alex Jones’ show was not a surprise. What was surprising was how off the rails it went, and quickly. To summarize how hot a garbage fire of hate and ignorance this Infowars episode was—even compared to most episodes, which is saying something—here are some quotes:
The reactions from around the social media space owned by Afrikaner Elon Musk were, alternately, bewilderment, gallows humor, and distress.

As a quick reminder of what we are walking into here: When Alex Jones, a man who deservedly lost defamation lawsuits from the grieving families of dead children he denied existed, told Ye, “You’re not Hitler, you’re not a Nazi, you don’t deserve to be called that and demonized,” West responded by saying, “Well, I see good things about Hitler also. I love everyone.”
A reminder.
Just in case anyone needed a fact check on all of this.

There are antifascists in our country who have much more specific takes on the matter.
Another reminder.
And finally.

"You're not a nazi you don't deserve to be called that and demonized" may be the easiest layup in history and yet

Never thought I would hear someone say "Hitler was good because he invented the microphone". Neither half of that sentence is correct.
