After being put to bat first, except Najmul Hossain Shanto, all Bangladesh batters struggled to stay longer on the crease as Pakistan’s high-quality pace attack dominated the proceedings. Najmul Hossain scored 40 off 34 balls with the help of five boundaries.
Shaheen Shah Afridi (2/15) and Shadab Khan (2/22) picked up a couple of wickets each. Similarly, Mohammad Wasim Jr (1/9), Haris Rauf (1/13) and Mohammad Nawaz (1/25) bagged one wicket apiece to help Pakistan restrict Bangladesh to 108/7 in their allotted 20 overs.
In reply, Pakistan chased down the target successfully in 18.1 overs with eight wickets in hand. Mohammad Rizwan continued his golden form and scored a crucial 39 off 45 at the top.
Left-handed batter Fakhar Zaman ended the match with a brilliant 57* run-knock. For the hosts, Mustafizur Rahman (1/12) and Aminul Islam (1/30) took one wicket apiece.
