Batting first, Indian top order stamped its authority over the Irish bowlers as the duo of Angkrish Raghuvanshi, and Harnoor Singh formed a dominating partnership of 164 runs for the opening wicket.
Raghuvanshi scored a brilliant run-a-ball 79 with the help of 12 boundaries, including a couple of sixes, before Jamie Forbes dismissed him. Similarly, Harnoor fell just 12 runs short of his century after getting trapped in front by Matthew Humphreys.
In the absence of regular skipper Yash Dhull, who is in isolation along with four others due to Covid, Nishant Sindhu led the side. He scored a steady 34-ball 36, and Rajvardhan Hangargekar made an unbeaten 39 off 17, including five sixes, as India posted 307/5 in their allotted 50 overs.
In response, the Irish side got bundled out for just 133, losing the contest by 174 runs. Scott MacBeth with 32 off 40 and Joshua Cox with 28 off 46 were the top scorers for Ireland.
Aneeshwar Gautam (2/11), Garv Sangwan (2/23), Kaushal Tambe (2/8) were the pick of the bowlers for India.

Tremendous show of character and maturity from the U-19 team. With just 11 players available for today's game, to go out and express themselves the way they did was phenomenal. Can't say how proud I am of them! The Ireland match is one they will cherish for life? #U19CWC pic.twitter.com/zCmuM8cQWg

First look at Harnoor Singh, who could well be the next big thing in Indian cricket. I played alongside his Dad Birender Singh, and Uncles Jaideep, Harminder, Bhupinder Jr & Gurpreet. That family has known nothing but cricket and Harnoor will probably make them all proud #IndvIre
