Bangladesh beat India in a thriller
In another nail-biting thriller at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh defeated India by five runs and clinched the ODI series.

This game swung one way and the other, and the result wasn’t decided until the final delivery of India’s chase. Shreyas Iyer (82) and Axar Patel (56) were impressive after India had slipped to four wickets down at 65. The duo put together 107 runs for the fifth wicket before Bangladesh’s bowlers brought their side back in the game with quick dismissals at the key moments

Captain Rohit Sharma, whose injured left thumb forced him not to open, came to bat at number nine to bail the tourists out of trouble, and he almost did by bringing the equation down to 12 needed from 2 deliveries. Rohit hit Mustafizur Rahman for a six on the fifth delivery of the final over but couldn’t connect the last ball over the fence as India lost the thrilling contest by five runs. Rohit cracked an unbeaten 51 off 28 balls.

Earlier, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, the hero of the three-match series opener, once again stood up for Bangladesh, hitting a tremendous century to take the hosts to a competitive 271/7, after they lost six wickets for just 69. Mehidy smashed 100 off 83 balls, including 8 fours and 4 sixes. He was well supported by veteran Mahmudullah, who scored 77 from 96 deliveries.

Here is how Twitter reacted:

Bangladesh won by 5 runs and secured the series by 2-0.
