For the Irish side, Mark Adair, Barry McCarthy, and Craig Young claimed crucial wickets, each taking one scalp, while Josh Little managed to keep a lid on the run rate despite not taking any wickets. The Indian bowlers displayed exceptional skills to defend their total. Captain Jasprit Bumrah‘s clinical performance earned him 2 wickets for just 15 runs in his 4 overs. Prasidh Krishna and Ravi Bishnoi also claimed 2 wickets each, while Arshdeep Singh chipped in with a wicket. The bowlers managed to keep a tight leash on the Irish batting lineup.
Ireland’s efforts fell short as they managed to reach 152/8 in their 20 overs, falling 33 runs short of India’s total. India’s disciplined bowling attack and excellent fielding played a pivotal role in securing their victory. Rinku was named Player of the Match for his explosive bating.
