The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and West Indies are set to face each other in a three-match ODI series starting from Sunday, June 4. Notably, this series will be a perfect opportunity for the two sides as both teams did not secure direct qualification to the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in India and will participate in the qualifiers starting mid-June.

In terms of their recent performances, West Indies are coming from a (2-1) T20I series win against South Africa. However, the Men in Maroon’s ODI series against the Proteas side ended in a tie (1-1). On the other hand, UAE’s most recent match was against Nepal in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Premier League final, which they lost by seven wickets.

Speaking of head-to-head between UAE and West Indies, the two teams have faced each other twice so far, with the Caribbean side emerging victorious in both encounters. It is also worth mentioning that Shai Hope will lead West Indies on their UAE tour, whereas Muhammad Waseem will captain the home side.
