Shakib Al Hasan beats a fan
Bangladesh Test and T20I skipper Shakib Al Hasan is known for his antics both on and off the field. In another instance, the veteran cricketer was seen losing his cool and beating up a fan at a promotional event following Bangladesh’s first T20I win over Jos Buttler-led England on March 09.

Around three hours after the completion of the exciting game, Shakib was involved in some commercial promotional activities where several fans surrounded him. The ace all-rounder was there to share his views about Bangladesh’s stunning performance against the English team.

No wonder it was tough for Shakib to stay clear out of fans even in high security. Just when the experienced campaigner was about to get inside his car, one of the fans allegedly tried to take the cap away from Shakib, reported by Channel 24. The 35-year-old lost his calm and beat up the fan with his cap, and the video of the event went viral on social media platforms.

Here is the video:

Notably, it wasn’t the first time Shakib was seen engaging in the clash. In the previous edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the Fortune Barishal cricketer was spotted involving in a war of words with umpires on a few occasions.

In 2021, Shakib was angry with the umpire during the Dhaka Premier League (DPL), as he had kicked the stumps and smashed them on the ground in frustration. He was also handed a ban by the International Cricket Council (ICC) back in 2019 for not reporting corrupt approaches to the apex board.

Coming back to the opening T20I between Bangladesh and England, the hosts registered victory by six wickets at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. With the win, Shakib equalled Mahmudullah’s tally of most wins by a Bangladesh captain in T20Is. The 2nd T20I will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday, March 12.
