A pride of the Indian Air Force, the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team was formed in 1996 and has been an integral part of the 52nd Squadron of the IAF. Known for their mesmerizing displays, the team typically performs with nine aircraft, showcasing their exceptional skill and coordination.

Australia opts to bowl in the final showdown​


As far as the match is concerned, Australia won the toss and surprised many by choosing to bowl first in the final showdown. The Aussie skipper Pat Cummins explained the decision, citing the dry wicket and the dew factor as crucial considerations. He expressed confidence in his team’s performance, highlighting their impeccable record since a challenging start to the tournament.

“We are gonna have a bowl first. Looks like a dry wicket. Dew is a factor. It gets better to bat on. Tough start to the tournament, haven’t really put a foot wrong ever since. It’s all set up perfectly. We’ve played these guys a lot,” said Cummins.

Team India captain Rohit Sharma welcomes the decision​


On the other side, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma welcomed the decision, expressing his preference to bat first. With confidence in the team’s ability to set a challenging total, he acknowledged the significance of the occasion and the overwhelming support from the passionate crowd at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium.

“I would have batted first. Looks a good pitch, big game, put runs on the board. It’s going to be amazing, everytime we play here, the crowd come out in large numbers. The biggest occasion in the cricketing event. We have to stay nice and calm,” said Rohit.
