Australia and Bangladesh are facing on each other in Match 43 of the ODI World Cup 2023 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. While Australia had already secured their spot in the semi-finals, Bangladesh, battling elimination, aimed for a victory to salvage their hopes for the Champions Trophy 2025.

Australia won the toss and elected to field, a decision that proved effective as they managed to restrict Bangladesh to a total of 306/8 in their allocated 50 overs. Towhid Hridoy played a pivotal role for the Tigers, contributing a stellar 74 runs off 79 deliveries, featuring five fours and two sixes.

The standout moment occurred in the 36th over when Josh Hazlewood delivered a 135kph length ball. Hridoy, in an attempt to rotate the strike, pushed the ball towards cover and embarked on a quick single. Mahmudullah responded, but the risky single was always going to be challenging.

Labuschagne, displaying shades of Rhodes, sprinted towards the ball, effortlessly picked it up with one hand, and unleashed a precision throw directly at the batting end. Mahmudullah, despite a desperate dive, fell significantly short of his crease, resulting in an extraordinary run-out by Labuschagne.
