Mohammad Amir gets angry in PSL 2023
Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Amir recently grabbed headlines with his gesture towards Babar Azam after dismissing the latter in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023. Once again, Amir has created a buzz, but this time around, the left-arm pacer became the centre of attention for his angry outburst on the field that saw him lashing out at a teammate.

The eye-catching incident took place during a match between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators at Pindi Club Ground in Rawalpindi on Monday. It was Karachi’s Tayyab Tahir who had to face Amir’s anger after the fielder didn’t put in the effort to grab a catch in a crunch situation.

It all happened in the penultimate over, with Gladiators needing 11 runs off eight balls. Amir bowled a short delivery which Sarfaraz Ahmed tried to smack over mid-wicket. But the batter could not find proper timing as the ball lobbed towards mid-off.

Tahir had a chance to complete the catch, but it just seemed like he didn’t put in enough effort to get to the ball. This made Amir furious as he blasted the fielder for his sloppy effort.

Here is the video:

Speaking about the contest, Karachi got to a competitive total of 164/6 on the board, thanks to Adam Rossington’s brilliant 69 and some handy cameos from captain Imad Wasim and Aamer Yamin down the order.

In response, Gladiators were five down for 63 and looking completely out of rhythm. However, Martin Guptill held his end and was well supported by Sarfaraz. Both Guptill and Sarfaraz added 95 runs for the sixth wicket, which took the game away from the Gladiators. Amir went wicketless in his four overs, conceding 37 runs.
