It is worth mentioning that Gill is part of India’s World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2023 squad and is busy training for the summit clash that begins from June 7. However, the 23-year-old cricketer took time out from his busy schedule and collaborated with Niharika as part of the promotion strategy for the “Spiderman: Across Spider-Verse”. Niharika released the video of the same on her official YouTube Channel and titled it ‘Awkward first date ft. Shubman Gill’.
Gill and Niharika in the clip can initially be seen cutely flirting with each other. However, the date later goes horribly wrong and turns super funny. There is also an instance in the video where the right-handed batter asks Niharika whether she is interested in playing sports, to which the latter replies by saying that she likes playing carrom and watching superhero movies.

Speaking of Gill’s form in recent times. The Gujarat Titans (GT) opener finished the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 as the highest run scorer of the tournament and won the Orange Cap for his exploit. Gill amassed 890 runs in 17 matches of the 16th edition of the league and hammered three centuries in the process. Although he gave it his all to make his team champions for the second consecutive time, GT unfortunately lost the final to Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
