Yadav’s performances have not been up to his usual standards, as he has been struggling to find his lost mojo with the bat. In fact, his poor run with the willow has started affecting his fielding, further adding to his woes. A similar incident took place during the high-voltage clash between Mumbai and Delhi Capitals (DC) at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday.
It all happened during the penultimate ball of the 15th over bowled by Jason Behrendorff when Axar Patel tried to go for the full monty but mistimed the shot. Surykakumar, who ran in to take the catch, misjudged the ball, and he ended up injuring himself.
The Pune-born cricketer dropped the catch, and to make matters worse, the ball hit just above his right eye and parried behind for a maximum. The physio checked him for a concussion, but he seemed to be fine before leaving the field to get some treatment.
