Virat Kohli does a special celebration for her daughter Vamika
Team India had a terrible tour in South Africa, losing both the Test and ODI series. The visitors played six matches (three Tests and as many ODIS) and only registered victory in the opening Test. On Sunday, India lost the third and final ODI by only four runs to get whitewashed in the ODI series.

While chasing the challenging total, India lost skipper KL Rahul early before Virat Kohli, and Shikhar Dhawan steadied the ship. Kohli displayed another glimpse of his decent form after scoring the second half-century in the three-match ODI leg.

Kohli impressed his fans with his batting, but his unique celebrating upon reaching the half-century mark grabbed maximum eyeballs. Kohli, who is often known for his lively celebrations, this time won the internet with a heartwarming gesture towards her daughter Vamika, who was in the arms of her mother, Anushka Sharma, at the Newlands Stadium.

Kohli did a ‘cradle’ celebration, where he looked at her daughter and waved his hand. His wife, Anushka, also seemed delighted, and the clip went viral on social media.

Notably, with the series loss, Indian skipper Rahul ended up registering an embarrassing record as he became the first Indian captain to lose each of the first three ODIs in charge. It was also the fifth occasion overall when India got whitewashed in an ODI leg that consisted of three or more matches.

“Quite obvious where we’ve gone wrong. No shying away from it. At times our shot selection has been poor. Even with the ball, we haven’t been hitting the right areas consistently. Have played well in patches but haven’t built pressure over a long period. Can’t fault the boys for the passion and effort. In terms of skill and understanding the situation – sometimes we’ve gone wrong. But it happens – we’ve got some new guys in the team. In the one-day series, at times, we’ve kept doing the same mistakes,” said Rahul after the match.
