Delhi Capitals (DC) will take on Gujarat Giants (GG) in the 14th match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, March 16.

The Capitals are pretty much close to securing the birth in the playoffs, having shown a quality display of all-round cricket in the tournament. The Meg Lanning-led side have won four of their five games and are comfortably placed at the second spot. The win against Gujarat will further strengthen their chances of becoming the second team to book a place in the playoffs after Mumbai Indians (MI).

On the other hand, the Giants have been hit by injuries, and several chopping and changing have not helped them find a settled XI. With only one victory out of five matches, the Giants were sitting at the fourth spot before Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)’s maiden win, which brought them to the last position as RCB have advanced to fourth place.
