In the 17th match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023, Gujarat Giants will take on UP Warriorz at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. It is the first match of the doubleheader on Monday, March 20.

The Giants have very slim chances of going further, which depends on the results of other teams. They need not only to win this game but also hope that the Warriorz lose both their remaining fixtures and Mumbai Indians (MI) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) with massive margins.

Warriorz, on the other hand, need one win one to secure a place in the playoffs. Even if they lose both games, but by narrow margins, the Alyssa Healy-led side would still have a chance to make it to the playoffs.

When it comes to the team standings, the Warriorz are placed at the third spot in the points table while the Giants are at the bottom spot, courtesy of their terrible net run rate (NRR), i.e. -2.511.
