In the third match of the Ireland Women tour of Zimbabwe Women 2024, Ireland Women displayed a commanding performance, securing a convincing 81-run victory over Zimbabwe Women at the Harare Sports Club.

Toss and Team Lineups:​


Zimbabwe Women won the toss and elected to bowl. The playing XIs were as follows:

Zimbabwe: Chiedza Dhururu, Pellagia Mujaji, Mary-Anne Musonda, Ashley Ndiraya, Nyasha Gwanzura, Kellies Ndlovu, Loren Tshuma, Precious Marange, Lindo Mabhera, Nomvelo Sibanda, Mitchell Mavunga.

Ireland Women Innings:​


Ireland Women set a challenging target by posting a total of 180 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 48.1 overs. Orla Prendergast played a crucial inning, scoring 41 runs, while opening batter Leah Paul made a contribution of 27 runs.

Zimbabwe Women Innings:​


Chasing the target of 180, Zimbabwe Women faced a tough challenge and were eventually bowled out for 99 runs in 30.5 overs. Irish spinner Cara Murray was the star with the ball, recording an impressive 6 wicket-haul for 31 runs in 6.5 overs. It was also her best bowling figures in international cricket.

With this win, the Irish side also sealed the three-match ODI series (2-0), they won the opening game by 10 wickets (DLS), while the second contest ended in a tie after the rain hindrance at the Harare Sports Club.
