India stands tall at the end of Day 1

India’s batting performance showcased resilience and brilliance, concluding with a score of 326/5 on Day 1. Despite a shaky start, with the hosts standing at a precarious 33-3, the narrative took a dramatic turn thanks to the extraordinary 204-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Ravindra Jadeja and skipper Rohit Sharma. Their collaboration rescued India from an early collapse and decisively shifted the momentum in the hosts’ favour.

Rohit departed after a stellar innings, accumulating an impressive 131 runs. Sarfaraz contributed significantly with a beautiful knock of 62 runs before an unfortunate run-out curtailed his innings. The ever-reliable Jadeja, standing strong at 110 runs, continues to anchor the innings alongside Kuldeep Yadav, who held his ground with a single run to his name.
