Virat Kohli and Pat Cummins fun banter IPL
Despite much effort, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) find themselves at the bottom of the points table in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, with just one win from eight games, jeopardising their tournament hopes. However, standout performer Virat Kohli leads the run-scoring charts with 379 runs, including one century and two fifties.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has been a revelation in this IPL, with explosive batting displays from Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. Under the leadership of Pat Cummins, SRH achieved the highest-ever score in IPL history, posting 287 runs while batting first.

As the two teams gear up for an upcoming high-octane clash in Hyderabad, Kohli and Cummins were seen engaging in jovial banter. A video capturing their interaction has started to surface on social media.

Virat Kohli and Pat Cummins’ fun interaction

During the pre-match practice session before the encounter between SRH and RCB, Cummins approached Kohli, mentioning that he had heard Kohli accuse him of preparing flat wickets. In response, Kohli remarked that the SRH skipper is exceptionally talented.

“I heard you saying that I was making that wicket look flat,” Cummins said.

“You are too good, Pat,” replied Kohli

Must win game for RCB

The team captained by Faf du Plessis is teetering on the brink of elimination from the race to the playoffs. To secure a spot in the top four, RCB requires victories in all its remaining matches. Notably, in its previous game against SRH, RCB suffered a defeat despite putting up a spirited fight in the second innings. Bengaluru must make significant changes to their bowling lineup, as their subpar bowling performance has been the primary factor contributing to the team’s failure.
