Mayank Yadav dismisses Cameron Green with a ripper in IPL 2024
Mayank Yadav, the latest sensation in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, showcased his immense talent once again during the clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday. The young pacer delivered a fiery spell of fast bowling, rattling the RCB batting line-up and leading his team to a convincing victory at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Mayank Yadav’s dazzling performance​

The fast bowler picked up three crucial wickets and conceded only 14 runs, displaying exceptional control and speed throughout his spell. He unleashed a barrage of deliveries clocking over 150 kmph, leaving the RCB batters struggling to cope with his pace.

Dismisses Cameron Green with a thunderbolt​

One of the highlights of Mayank’s spell was his dismissal of RCB all-rounder Cameron Green with a thunderous delivery. On the fourth delivery of the eighth over, Mayank unleashed a searing short of a good length ball that clocked a staggering 156.7 kmph. Green, caught off guard by the sheer pace, failed to read the delivery and ended up losing his off-stump. Mayank’s celebration was a testament to the impact of his delivery.

Quinton de Kock propels LSG to a competitive total​

Speaking about the game, Lucknow Super Giants successfully set a competitive total of 181/5 within their allotted 20 overs after being put to bat first. Leading the charge was opener Quinton de Kock, whose stellar performance stood out for the KL Rahul-led team. The South African batting stalwart delivered an impressive innings, scoring 81 runs off 56 deliveries, including 8 boundaries and 5 sixes. Additionally, Nicholas Pooran, the Caribbean sensation, contributed a valuable unbeaten 40 runs from 21 balls, featuring five massive sixes.

Mayank bags Player of the Match for his impressive bowling​

In reply, the Challengers faltered and were bundled out for 153 runs in 19.4 overs, falling short by 28 runs. Mayank emerged as the star performer for the Super Giants, wreaking havoc on the RCB batting lineup with his sheer pace, claiming three wickets. It came as no surprise when Mayank was subsequently honored with the Player of the Match award for his outstanding performance.
